Ringo Starr’s upcoming studio album, titled Liverpool 8, will be released in June. Longtime producer and collaborator Mark Hudson says that the album, which he co-produced with Starr and Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, features a new “synthetic†direction for Starr, and steers him away from the Beatlesque direction of his past four albums. The title of the album refers to Starr’s original Liverpool postal code.
